QTS Extends Sponsorship Relationship with Kilmarnock FC for Fourth Season
June 2015
One of the UK's leading railway contracting organisations, QTS, has agreed a deal to extend its club sponsorship of Scottish Premiership side Kilmarnock Football Club until the end of the 2015/16 season.
The new six-figure deal extends the company's relationship with Kilmarnock for a fourth season and the QTS name will again be prominent on Kilmarnock strips for the upcoming season.
The deal, which was announced today in conjunction with the launch of the Club's new home playing kit for 2015/16, is an improvement on the already significant six-figure investment in the football club.
As part of the improved sponsorship deal QTS have secured the rights to the Club's new Family only season ticket area, aptly named the 'QTS Family First' Section, which will now see families able to attend SPFL Premiership football matches together for as little as £17 a game.*
Alan McLeish, Managing Director of QTS, said he was happy to extend the company's support for Kilmarnock, at a time when the club had much to look forward to on and off the pitch.
"This is going to be a big season for Kilmarnock given the potential for team changes between the Scottish Championship and Premiership divisions. We are delighted to continue our financial and wider company support to everyone involved," he added.
"As club sponsor, we were also delighted that the team at Kilmarnock allowed QTS to have a major influence on the design of the new kit for season 2015/16. We are sure that this seasons kits will please the team and fans alike.
"Last years move to the FieldTurf system was a great success and it really shows how dedicated the team at Kilmarnock are to providing great football facilities. The finances of the modern game are such that the ability to maximise revenue around every element of the football club is hugely important and we had no hesitation in signing up for another season."
Welcoming the news Kilmarnock's new Chairman Jim Mann added:
"We are all delighted that QTS have agreed to continue their sponsorship of Kilmarnock Football Club. I would like to put on record my thanks to Alan, Phyllis and everyone at QTS for their support over the last three years. I very much look forward to working closely with them going forward."
Kilmarnock manager Gary Locke said:
"It is important Kilmarnock FC are able to attract and retain quality players, without QTS I wouldn't be able to build the squad and backroom staff we need to take this Club forward. With QTS staying on board we can now work hard to ensure we have the best pre-season possible allowing us to represent them as best we can next season."
Established in 1992 by Alan McLeish, QTS has become a national multi-disciplined organisation with an extensive skill base offering a range of services including railway operations, environmental services, civil engineering, training, vegetation management and drainage.
Alan established the business with a £300 loan from his mother, which he used to buy two chainsaws and a transit van. The business now has ten offices throughout the UK, employing over 800 sponsored personnel and boasts a turnover of £72 million.
