Miss UK meets Team Northwest

July 2016

We introduced Miss Scotland / Miss UK, Mhairi Fergusson to Northwest Boxing Club this week and Mhairi was certainly fit for the challenge. Ray Connell (Coach) put Mhairi through her paces and got her throwing some cracking punches!

Miss UK meets Team Northwest

This was a great way for Mhairi to meet one of the sporting clubs we support in the local area. Established in 1969, Northwest Boxing club has become a beacon in the local community.  With significant investment from East Ayrshire Council and support from QTS, the club has some of the best boxing facilities in Scotland. They make an effort to engage with young children, teenagers and young adults in an effort to get them interested in hobby that keeps them fit and off the street.

They are also home to one of our Youth Athletes, Kieran McMaster. Shame Kieran missed it as he is out training with Team Scotland in Serbia.
