KILMARNOCK FC ANNOUNCE EXTENDED PARTNERSHIP WITH QTS AND WELCOME NEW OFFICIAL KIT SUPPLIER NIKE
June 2016
Kilmarnock Football Club is delighted to announce that QTS Group will once again sponsor the club for the up-coming season, making it their fifth year as the title shirt sponsor. Kilmarnock FC is also delighted to announce that Nike will become the club’s official kit supplier. Instantly recognised around the world, Nike is the club’s biggest sports brand partner to date.
Kilmarnock joins an elite list of clubs in Scotland to wear the famous swoosh, along with Dundee United and Hibernian. As the club celebrates its 24th successive year in the top flight of Scottish football, Kilmarnock is proud to be associated with one of the world’s leading sports brands.
Nike will supply playing kit, training wear and equipment for the next three seasons. This agreement will also see Nike’s official licensee for Scottish football partnerships, Just Sport Group, take control of retail operations at Rugby Park. This will include the refurbishment of the current Killie Shop and the creation of a new online shopping site.
Alan McLeish, Managing Director of QTS, said he was very pleased to extend the company’s support for Kilmarnock, particularly at a time when the club has so much to look forward to - on and off the pitch:
“This is going to be a big season for Kilmarnock given the dramatic end they had to last season. The club means a lot to us and having Nike on board shows that Kilmarnock means business going forward and we are really excited to be part of this partnership.”
Michael Heslop, Sales & Business Development Director for Nike - Just Sport Group, was delighted to announce their partnership with the club:
“We are delighted to announce our partnership with Kilmarnock FC and QTS. The chance to become partners with the oldest football club in Scotland with a fantastic football tradition, was something we wanted to become a part of.
We are looking forward to getting behind the team, providing a first class kit for the team and fans. By refurbishing the current store, we will create a new club store that will benefit the local area. Ayrshire is a massive region for sport, so we will make sure that our stock will tailor to the local demands. We will announce our opening date soon, but we will be open for business before the month is out.”
Lee Clark, Kilmarnock Manager added:
“I am delighted to be going into the new season in the knowledge that our main sponsor, QTS, will be continuing their partnership with us. The fact that we also have a new kit supplier, Nike, means that we are going into next season with two fantastic partners.
As an ex player, I know how important it is to play in the best quality kit and the new home strip is comfortable, visually appealing and reflects the traditional blue and white stripes, with a modern twist. I know the boys love it and I am sure the fans will too. I am very grateful to both Nike and QTS, who will play a major role in the club during the 2016/17 season.”
