As part of our on-going commitment to STEM Engineering in Schools our Design Manager, Mark Craig (Civil Engineer & STEM Ambassador) visited Galston Primary to deliver a talk to P4 & P5 classes.

Mark was giving the pupils an insight into life on the railway and explaining the journey of how he embarked on a career in civil engineering. The visit was aligned with the schools competition Leaders Award for Primary Engineering.

 After the visit, Mark added, "The kids were so enthusiastic and fully embraced the presentation regarding railway engineering and what its all about. The importance of these talks in both primary/secondary schools are paramount if we are to fulfill the shortage that the Royal Academy of Engineer's predict by 2020"
