There is an opportunity within QTS to join our Civil Engineering team as a Graduate Apprentice Quantity Surveyor based out of any of our UK-wide offices.

From your first day as a Graduate Apprentice, you will be an active team member working as part of our Civils & Geotechnical team. You will be well supported from each and every employee within the company to give you the best mentored, relevant and practical experience.

Role and responsibilities:

  • Shadowing and assisting QS team and senior management personnel to undertake all aspects of Commercial Management.
  • Assisting and shadowing of senior colleagues on post contract work – site visits, attending progress meetings, preparing and vetting contractors applications for
  • payment, preparing cost reports and agreeing measurement of variations
  • Support the provision of all commercial deliverables in line with contract requirements and timescales, monitoring the production of records, correspondence and documentation.
  • Work with the commercial and contract lead to ensure all Change Requests are submitted promptly in accordance with the contract.
  • Grow relationship with customers and attending meetings to review and resolve commercial issues.


Skills Required:

  • SQA Highers/RQF A-Levels:  BBCC or equivalent including Maths and English or HNC or HND in Quantity Surveying
  • Those who don’t meet standard entry requirements, can be considered on individual merit e.g. those who are working or have worked in a relevant capacity in discipline area – recognition of prior learning
