QTS is proud to announce that it has been named Fair Work Employer of the Year at the British Business Awards 2025, in association with NatWest.
The prestigious event, held on 24 April at the EICC in Edinburgh, brought together over 2,000 business leaders for an unforgettable evening hosted by comedian and presenter Rob Brydon, featuring a keynote address from the event’s patron Sir Bob Geldof, and a rare, unplugged performance from iconic musician and activist Sting.
QTS Group was selected from over 140 shortlisted companies and stood out among major UK businesses and household names to take home the top honour in its category.
The Fair Work Employer of the Year award recognises organisations that excel in promoting fair work practices, fostering inclusivity, and creating positive workplace cultures. The judging panel praised QTS for its exceptional employee engagement, commitment to wellbeing, and sustained investment in its workforce.
This year’s winners reflect the strength and diversity of British enterprise, with other recognised companies including Dell Technologies, The Ivy Collection, and Miller Homes.
”We are absolutely delighted to have won Fair Work Employer of the Year. This award is a tribute to the values we uphold at QTS as well as the hard work and passion of our entire team. Creating a workplace where everyone feels respected, valued and empowered is central to everything we do, and this recognition means a great deal to us.
Andy SteelManaging Director
Our people truly are the heart of our business. In the last three years, our staff numbers have grown steadily and we are proud to be placed at number 52 in the top 100 UK inclusive employers, as we work towards our Investors in Diversity accreditation.
QTS has always put a focus on supporting and progressing staff, encouraging growth and development. In 2024 the company joined the 5% Club, committing to achieving at least 5% of its workforce in earn and learn positions, and, in 2023, QTS was also one of the first rail businesses to introduce cancer screening for staff. These join numerous initiatives and programmes the company already runs to support staff.
This award comes at a pivotal time for QTS Group, as the company continues to expand across England and Wales with new projects, contracts, and five office openings in 2024. Despite this growth, maintaining its strong, family-oriented culture remains a top priority. Many employees have been with QTS for years, often across generations, highlighting the trust and loyalty that define the business.
QTS prioritises creating a supportive environment where people feel valued. As the business scales, it remains committed to nurturing long-term relationships, investing in its people, and preserving the close-knit culture that sets it apart.
