Maintenance (Civils Asset Management)

Since January 2013, QTS have delivered services under Route Civils Asset Management contracts for Network Rail Works Delivery Units. QTS are currently engaged in Civils Asset Management contracts in Eastern, North West & Central, Anglia, Wales and Western.

Geotechnical & Earthworks Enhancements

QTS is a specialist in earthworks and geotechnical works, and has invested heavily in plant, equipment and training to provide the capability to execute large scale contracts. We specialise in complex projects with difficult site conditions and constraints.

Civil Engineering

Durham Viaduct

QTS was appointed by Network Rail to undertake design development and installation of anti-climb fencing to both parapets of ECM5, Structure 190, Durham Viaduct.

Lyleston Farm

QTS Group was commissioned to replace a collapsed undertrack crossing (UTX) near Lyleston Farm, Dumbarton, adjacent to the North Electric railway line.

Matlock A6 Works

QTS were appointed by Derbyshire County Council following an open tender process, as contractor on the A6 retaining wall repair programme.

Ulverston

These emergency geotechnical works were completed with no accidents or incidents, the track fully re-opened, slope regraded and 130m of new beck created in less than 26 days, with rail closures of only five days to mitigate impact on travelling passengers.

Sykesfoot

As part of a 52 hour blockade, the QTS team carried out reactive works on the Settle to Carlisle line. A 35 tonne long reach was utilised to excavate 880 tonnes of failed material.

Sheffield

The project included the examination works on a 30m long wall that was situated on top of a 14m high retaining wall structure, and involved the installation of around 12,500 bricks, while trains continued to run under the scaffolding.
