
Parts Assistant

Role and responsibilities:
- Undertaking the maintenance of Stores as requested
- Recording of all goods issued to and from stores during shifts worked
- Ensuring that all paperwork such as time sheets, maintenance records, delivery tickets etc. are all returned timeously to the main office.
- Operating relevant goods handling and yard maintenance plant and machinery (training will be provided where required)
- Ensuring hazardous substances are stored/handled in accordance with instructions
- Assisting in managing stock levels, to ensure key stock items remain at the desired quantities
- Generally assisting other stores and yard personnel as requested
Skills required:
- Experienced stores
- Must be IT literate
- Must have good interpersonal skills
- Must possess full, clean UK Driving Licence
- Experience in operating a Forklift/Tele Handler (Desirable)
- Familiarity with UK Railway Standards (Desirable)
