Role and responsibilities:

  • Undertaking the maintenance of Stores as requested
  • Recording of all goods issued to and from stores during shifts worked
  • Ensuring that all paperwork such as time sheets, maintenance records, delivery tickets etc. are all returned timeously to the main office.
  • Operating relevant goods handling and yard maintenance plant and machinery (training will be provided where required)
  • Ensuring hazardous substances are stored/handled in accordance with instructions
  • Assisting in managing stock levels, to ensure key stock items remain at the desired quantities
  • Generally assisting other stores and yard personnel as requested

Skills required:

  • Experienced stores
  • Must be IT literate
  • Must have good interpersonal skills
  • Must possess full, clean UK Driving Licence
  • Experience in operating a Forklift/Tele Handler (Desirable)
  • Familiarity with UK Railway Standards (Desirable)
