Role and responsibilities:
- Undertake the maintenance of vehicles, machinery, plant and equipment to a planned maintenance schedule
- Undertake the maintenance of all Road Rail vehicles, plant and equipment in accordance with Legislation and manufacturer’s instructions
- Undertake the maintenance of all other vehicles, plant and equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions
- The recording of all maintenance activities against each unique inventory number
- Ensure that all paperwork such as time sheets, maintenance records, delivery tickets etc are all returned timeously to the main office
- Carry out on-site fitter cover & on-call duties, as and when required
- Only operate plant and machinery on which you have been adequately trained
- Ensure hazardous substances are only handled in accordance with instructions
- Give proper consideration to all parties and persons who may be affected by the work, (including the effects of noise, dust and fumes)
- Correctly using work items provided by QTS, including Personal Protective Equipment in accordance with training and instruction
- Ensure all work is carried out to specifications and instructions
- Assist in any other aspect of the Company where required
Skills required:
- Plant fitter experience & RPA qualified
- Preferably hold current PTS
- Must be familiar with the railway, maintenance and NR plant standards
- Must be IT literate
- Full clean UK driving licence
