
Vegetation Supervisor

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Site management of contracts, ensuring that all personnel under their direct
- Control conform at all times to work instructions/method statements
- Identify additional training requirements
- Briefing and conveying safety-critical information to employees and suppliers on site
- Ensuring the fitness for duty of all safety-critical personnel and that pre-start inspections are carried out
- Management of working hours including emergency authorisation for limits to be exceeded
- On site reporting of accidents and initiating the response for QTS to any emergency
- Monitor product conformance and liaising with Network Rail’s representative.
- Ensuring safe working practices on site
- Ensuring environmental controls are implemented
- Provision of adequate welfare facilities
- Liaison with client representatives on site
- Site records, documentation (including allocation records)
Skills Required
- COSS + OLP
- SSSTS (desirable)
- Experience in delivering vegetation management work
- Progression to MC/CC certification available
- NPTC Chainsaw Certification (desirable)
