The QTS Longreach Doosan Grapple Saw, RRV Forwarder Chipping unit along with RRV flails and RRV excavators were utilised to work across 10 miles of track clearing vegetation within 6.5m and problematic leaf fall areas.

Mechanising the works reduced the requirement for working at height and manually felling dead, dying and diseased trees.

The large infeed of the Forwarder Chipping unit allowed the cut vegetation to be processed mechanically without the need of chainsaw and chipper operatives. This method reduced manual handling and staff required on site and increase production in a safe and efficient manner.
