QTS Training has achieved the Princess Royal Training Award for its commitment to delivering outstanding training and development.

This recognition, formally approved by HRH The Princess Royal, honours the meaningful impact made on both the people and the organisation to delivering outstanding training and development.

QTS Training has worked hard over the past few years to help address issues within the rail industry relating to skills gaps within an aging workforce. The QTS Rail Skills Academy has helped over 100 young people gain the skills necessary to find gainful employment within the industry.

Launched in 2016 in response to demand from employers for recognition of excellence in workplace training, more than 1,000 training programmes have been put forward for evaluation.  Since then, 415 Awards have been presented to 274 organisations, who have collectively trained almost 1 million people, demonstrating the Awards’ far-reaching place in skills development across the UK and Ireland.

We are thrilled that our work with the QTS Rail Skills Academy has been honoured with the prestigious Princess Royal Training Award! The QTS Training team has worked hard to design, develop, and deliver the Rail Skills Academy, and it’s incredibly rewarding to see the success of the 100 young people who have since secured employment in the rail industry.

For the last 10 years, the Princess Royal Training Awards have stood as a beacon of excellence in learning and development. We remain committed to expanding the reach of the Awards, engaging more organisations, and continuing to showcase best practice that drives success.
This year’s recipients have presented innovative approaches to challenges within their organisations which are highly representative of wider challenges within UK business and society, tackling problems including skills gaps and attracting quality applicants.
